1963. The king of France ordered over 800 women to cross the atlantic ocean and colonize new France. Aboard this rusty wooden ship, the journey of an innocent and educated orphan collides with one of an experience Woman of the night. Both embark the ship on a promise of a better life. Their story intertwines in a dark comedy witch portrays the origins of the modern québécoise. This short film, told by a Quebec Female director results in a raw and untold truth about colonization practices.
