Anne-Marie Denault

Anne-Marie is a video producer, director and professional researcher from Montreal. Her foray into the world of video production began with a desire to change the way health organizations and media deliver health research to the public.

She has since gone on to work on television campaigns, television series for Ici Radio Canada télé and in short films – all with an emphasis on health intervention as a strategy for global well-being.

Anne-Marie has conducted research in health communications and environmental studies. She is also a published researcher on matters of public health and crisis management in l’État du Québec, Éditions du Boréal. Anne-Marie has a degree in business management from McGill University and a master’s degree in communications from the Université du Québec à Montréal. She is fluently trilingual in French, English and Spanish.

Meaghan Johnstone

Meaghan Johnstone is a filmmaker, media instructor and translator. Her interests in issues of social justice, education, and development have led her to explore the use of filmmaking as an agent for social change.

She has produced a wide variety of documentary and educational videos on projects including the Housing First approach to homelessness and mental illness (Douglas Institute/CHUM); harm reduction approaches in public health services (RRSPQ); and French language integration programs for recent immigrants (INM/CSMB).

Meaghan is currently completing her first feature-length documentary, Rooftop Promises, which explores women’s perspectives on life in the context of a refugee camp in Lebanon.

She holds Bachelor’s (Concordia University) and Master’s (UQAM) degrees in Communication and media production. She is fluently trilingual in English, French and Spanish.

Minh-Quan Dam

Minh-Quan Dam is a data-driven technical leader with strong experience in business analysis and project management. He specializes in enabling change in an organizational context, defining IT needs, and providing solutions and innovation.

He worked two years in Beijing at Ogilvy and Mather as a consultant for a newly deployed CRM and Knowledge Center on Premium Consumers. Upon his return to Montreal, he went on to work for Newad Media, Nightlife Magazine and MolsonCoors, deploying new IT solutions and shaping new business strategies; while maintaining a focus on continuous process improvement in order to provide direction for future endeavors.

Minh-Quan Dam holds a degree from HEC Montréal and two certificates from McGill University in Business Analysis and Project Management. He is fluently trilingual in French, English and Vietnamese.

Alex Haythorne

Alex Haythorne is an interdisciplinary media producer and production manager. He began his career editing, shooting, and researching for feature documentary. His interest in issues of advocacy and sustainability then led to work producing ads for political parties and environmental NGOs in Canada and the United States.

Alex interned with the Organization of American States in Washington, D.C., where he contributed to the UNDP's 2010 biodiversity report, and has worked as a publicist for the Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Festival (VK & Associates) for the past four years.

Alex holds an M.A. in media production from Ryerson University, for which he developed a model for nonlinear non-fiction database narratives, and a B.A. in international development and history from McGill University.
